It is a 2-in-1 filter that combines the function of a 1/4 Black Mist filter and an ND2-32 variable ND filter without the appearance of crosshairs (X-cross).
The 1/4" Black Mist filter is excellent for portrait photography, softening skin tones. The ND2-32 Variable Filter is often used for videography and is ideal for landscape and nature photography in general.
The filter is made of high-quality Japanese optical glass and has a 28-layer surface treatment. It helps balance colors, reduce unwanted reflections, and protect the lens from water and scratches. Both sides of the glass are also polished to adjust the light path and ensure image quality.
This lens filter features high-resolution imaging, without loss of detail or chromatic aberration. Its coatings help minimize reflections. The filter has a light transmittance of 84%.
The filter holder is CNC-machined to maximize friction, making it easy to install and remove. The aircraft-grade aluminum frame is slim (7.6mm thick) to prevent dark corners when using wide-angle or long-focal lenses. It also features a small knob for easy adjustment of the blackout values.
The ND2-32 Variable ND Filter reduces light by 1 to 5 f-stops, eliminating factors that cause blackout or blue/black X-cross.
The 1/4 Black Mist filter reduces the appearance of wrinkles and yellow spots on the face, and is a great effect filter for taking beautiful photos in fog, rain, and low light.
