Blackmagic Design UltraStudio HD Mini Overview
Capture video from digital or analog sources directly into your favorite editing software with the Blackmagic Design UltraStudio HD Mini. SDI and analog video inputs allow you to import video from modern or legacy professional video equipment. Using the versatile Thunderbolt 3 interface, the device can transmit and receive SD and HD video up to 1080p at 60 fps, with support for up to 16 channels of onboard audio.
Available outputs include two SDI outputs for fill and key use, as well as an HDMI output for connecting consumer displays. Thanks to the built-in RS-422 port, the UltraStudio HD Mini can communicate with professional broadcast equipment.
Control
The DIP switches on the front panel or the RS-422 control port on the rear can be used for software control. The Teranex Mini Smart Panel (sold separately) can be purchased for both device control and visual monitoring during operation.
Treatment
Color space conversion: This is done on-the-fly via hardware.
HD to SD conversion: Real-time 10-bit hardware conversion on SDI B, Composite, and S-Video outputs when working with HD formats.
You can choose between the following modes: letterbox, anamorphic 16:9, and center cut 4:3.
