The Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D lens from Venus Optics is a Canon EF-M lens offering a 13.5mm equivalent focal length, combining an ultra-wide-angle field of view with a particularly compact design. As a Zero-D lens, its 9mm f/2.8 optical design is specifically engineered to minimize distortion for crisp, clear images of landscapes and architectural subjects. The optical construction also incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to control both spherical and chromatic aberrations, enhancing sharpness and minimizing chromatic aberration. A frog-eye coating has also been applied to repel dust and moisture from the front element of the lens, making it suitable for use in challenging environmental conditions. Its sleek, lightweight design is compatible with mirrorless objects and ideal for everyday shooting as well as use on axes.
